The 25th edition of Latin Grammy took place last Thursday (14th), in Miami, in the United States, and saw great prominence for Brazilian artists. This was the first year that the awards included the categories of Electronic musicPleases Best Latin Electronic Music Performance AND Best Contemporary Mexican Music Album. Former participant of The Voice Brazil in 2017, Jota.Pê was one of the big winners of the evening, taking three awards: Best song in Portuguese, Best Brazilian Popular Music/Afro-Portuguese Brazilian Music Album AND Best Sound Engineering Album.
Lulu Santos, Xama and Gabriel O Pensador
The trio won the Best urban performance in Portuguese successfully Peace Pipe 2.
Ana Castela
Known as “Boiadeira”, Ana Castela won in the category Best Country Music Album with Boiadeira International Live.
Erasmo Carlos
The artist, who passed away in 2022, was honored with the award. Your son, Leonardo Estevesreceived the award posthumously for Best rock album Put Erasmus Esteves.
Hermeto Pascoal and the Group
Acclaimed in the category Best Jazz AlbumHermeto Pascoal and his band won the album award For you, Ilza.
Xandé de Pilares
Applauded by the audience, Xande won the award for Best samba/pagoda album with the disc Xande sings Caetano.
Mariana Aydar and Mestrinho
The duo won the award for Best Roots Music Album in Portuguese with work Mariana and Mestrinho.
The Garotini
The group, composed of Léo Guima, Cupertino and Anxhietxwas awarded in the category Best contemporary pop album in Portuguese per album The boys of São Gonçalowhich is a hit among young audiences.
Thales Roberto
In the gospel segment, Thalles Roberto was the highlight. He won the category Best Christian Music Album (Portuguese Language) with Let It Come – Vol II (Live).
Hamilton de Holland & C4 Trio
The prize for Best instrumental album was awarded to Hamilton de Holanda & C4 Trío for work on Temblà.
