Rubro-Negro celebrates his birthday this Friday, November 15, and receives a series of impactful tributes on social media
November 15th has its importance for the Rossoneri calendar. Founded on the 17th of the same month, Flamengo celebrates its anniversary today and celebrates 129 years of history. The most loved club in the world is engraved in the hearts of over 43 million fans and in the path of the teams scattered around the four corners, so it is natural that there is no lack of a series of tributes to Carissimo.
One of the biggest names in football history, who played for Flamengo between 2011 and 2012, was quick to congratulate the club on social media: Ronaldinho Gaúcho. The Witcher recalled his time at Rubro-Negro and praised the warmth of the fans.

Bayern Munich’s Portuguese profile published a video with messages from the Bavarians in squad. “What a hug,” the German wrote to the club, followed by a message of best wishes.

Speaking of Germany, in fact, Eintracht Frankfurt also paid tribute to Rubro-Negro: “Happy birthday, Flamengo! We had the honor of facing the club’s greatest teams: Zagallo and Evaristo de Macedo, in 1954. Zico, Júnior, Andrade and cia in 1980 and champion of 2019. Congratulations, Nação Rubro-Negra”, he wrote.
Taking a trip to France, Olympique Marseille remembered two historic Flamengo idols who made history there too: Mozer and Gerson. “Congratulations on 129 years of history and success,” he added.

Monaco also left a special message for the Rio club. “Our stories are interconnected by the Crias do Ninho. Congratulations on 129 years of tradition, Flamengo.”
West Ham followed the same script and highlighted Lucas Paquetá. The Brazilian has never hidden his love and gratitude to Flamengo, the club that revealed him, and today he has become one of the highlights of European football.

Flamengo’s idols
The first idol to congratulate the club had a double reason to celebrate this November 15th. In addition to celebrating the birthday of his favorite team, Olivinha became, this Friday morning, the first Olympic athlete to receive an envelope in Gávea. The former basketball player was moved by the tribute on such an important day in the history of Rubro-Negro. The ‘God of Race’ also appeared in the Orlando Magic post, dedicated to the Rio team.

Hours later, the turn of the greatest of all: Zico. The Galinho channel republished a work in honor of Flamengo’s 129th anniversary and, evidently, received a series of interactions from the Rossoneri people. Arthur Antunes Coimbra, in fact, gave a speech on idolatry in Rubro-Negro this afternoon.
“I didn’t know where it came from or how it started, and it took me a while to understand its meaning. But at some point in my life, I realized that love, passion, gratitude, happiness and everything what I feel for Flamengo are not different things or is it all together, tied together, concentrated in a strong sensation that now accompanies me every day: that of floating”, Zico told The Players Tribune.
