Concrete mixer truck without brakes collides with house; the victim died while trying to avoid the accident
A driver lost his life this Thursday (14) after jumping from the truck he was driving, in Jaguari, in the central region of Rio Grande do Sul. The vehicle, a concrete mixer loaded with cement, lost its brakes during a descent into the city, according to witnesses.
In an attempt to avoid a more serious accident, the driver jumped from the out-of-control truck, but ended up dying as a result of the fall. The victim’s identity was not released.
After the jump, the truck crashed into the wall of a house, destroying the entrance to the house. No one on the property was injured.
To intervene in the accident, teams from the Civil Police, the General Institute of Competence (IGP), the firefighters and the Mobile Emergency Service (Samu) were called. The circumstances of the accident are being investigated.
