“Quartet I” will return to the big screens again! After more than four years, the actors began filming the fourth part of the cult franchise What Men Talk About. It is already known that Garik Kharlamov, Dmitry Nagiyev, Mikhail Politseymako and Maxim Vitorgan will join the cast.
In the center of the plot of the comedy, which was called “What Men Talk About. Simple Pleasures” is the lyrical adventures of Lesha (Leonid Barats), Slava (Rostislav Khait), Sasha (Alexander Demidov) and Kamil (Kamil Larin). Meeting on a Saturday morning to drink champagne, the friends embark on a new journey through the depths of the male subconscious. What are the men talking about this time? Of course, about the personal. Lyosha is trying to understand whether “female friendship” exists, Kamil discusses whether it is possible to fire his best friend, Slava, a ladies’ man, remembers his first love (or was it not her?), and Sasha reflects on the loss of his father and the need to enjoy life here and now. And yet, walking around the center of Moscow, friends discuss how to screw in a light bulb so that she is satisfied, and what candid photos scream about on social networks, and what is chevapchichi.
Our characters have matured, they are at a completely different point in life than they were four years ago, when the last part of the story came out. There were other topics for conversation, other thoughts and problems, and it seemed to us that the viewer would be interested to know how our heroes live now. Moscow in this story will become one of the characters: the city itself throws us topics for conversation, and its inhabitants – modern and long gone – enter into a dialogue and even a dispute with us, – said Leonid Barats.
The film will be directed by Mikhail Polyakov (“A Time to Live, a Time to Die”, “Secrets of Family Life”).
The Quartet are the heroes of my youth. Therefore, for me, the main task in working on a picture is to show how cool they were and remain, and, of course, not to fall into the dirt on their face, – says the director.
Filming will take place in the most picturesque locations of the Garden Ring. And it will be released in the first quarter of next year.
