Only 15 units separated the leaders in the first half of November, highlighting the fierce competition in the automotive market
The first two weeks of November 2024 have revealed an exciting comparison in the Brazilian automotive market. The Volkswagen Polo is in the lead with 7,265 units sold, but its lead is minimal compared to the Hyundai HB20, which totaled 7,250 registrations, which is a difference of only 15 units between the models.
The Chevrolet Onix maintained its relevance, securing third place with 5,844 units sold. The VW T-Cross consolidated its position as the best-selling SUV, racking up 5,037 sales. The Fiat Argo closes the Top 5 with 4,898 units.
Among sedans, the Hyundai HB20S surprised by leading the segment with 3,730 units, surpassing the Chevrolet Onix Plus, which recorded 3,105 registrations.
In the SUV segment, the Chevrolet Tracker (3,393 units) and the Hyundai Creta (3,226) are in a tight battle for second place. Despite this, the Toyota Corolla Cross maintained its leadership in the medium category, with 2,139 registrations, followed closely by the Jeep Compass (1,940).
In light commercial vehicles, Fiat Strada remains dominant, leader with 6,130 units sold. Its closest competitors, VW Saveiro (2,699) and Fiat Toro (2,643), do not yet threaten its consolidated leadership. Among medium-sized pick-ups, the Toyota Hilux stands out with 2,184 registrations, followed by the Ford Ranger (1,528). The Chevrolet Montana also stood out, registering 1,075 units in the period.
