Dira Paes will play Solineuza in the series “Encantado’s”

The character of “A Diarist” conquered the Brazilian public in the early 2000s

Iconic role

Actress Dira Paes will return to play Solineuza (“A Diarist”) in the third season of the series “Encantado’s”, on Globoplay. This time, the comic book character will appear as a customer in a grocery store on the outskirts of Rio. The information was published by the Play column of the newspaper O Globo.

For those who don’t remember, Solineuza won over Brazilian audiences by bringing (even more) comic relief to “A Diarist”, one of TV Globo’s highly successful series. This entertaining production entered the network’s schedule in 2004 with Claudia Rodrigues, the interpreter of Marinete, as the protagonist.

The new season of “Encantado’s” will also see the special appearance of the carnival artist Milton Cunha, in the role of himself, and the actor Paulo Lessa (“Família é Tudo”), who will come to shake the heart of Olimpia (Vilma Apple tree). The new episodes will also feature a musician played by Thiago Thomé (“A Dona do Pedaço”).

About the series

The attraction takes place in Encantado, a neighborhood that makes up the Méier region on the outskirts of Rio, where two brothers share their inheritance: a grocery store owned by their father, who recently died. While the sister dedicates herself to managing the business that ensures the survival of the family, the brother uses the space of the grocery store to hold evening rehearsals at the samba school also founded by his father.

The attraction stars Luís Miranda (“Mister Brau”) and Vilma Melo (“Segunda Chamada”) as the leads, and veteran Tony Ramos (“Cabocla”) as the bookie keeping an eye on the grocery store/samba field. Despite the news, the third season will be slightly affected due to Eliane Giardini, who is currently in “Mania de Você”.

The production was created by debut screenwriters Renata Andrade and Thais Pontes, directed by Henrique Sauer (“Segunda Chamada”).
