In Marvel Studios’ new movie Thor: Love And Thunder, the character has come under fire from fans for her relationship with Dwayne Johnson. Here’s why.

The new film from the Marvel Cinematic Universe is now in theaters, Thor: Love and Thunder is the fourth feature film dedicated to the adventures of the famous character played by Chris Hemsworth. Thor must fight a new enemy, Gor, also known as the Butcher of the Gods, played by Christian Bale.
In this dangerous battle, the God of Thunder can rely on the help of such famous companions as the Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), corg (Taika Waititi) but also Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), his ex-lover who became the mighty Thor thanks to Mjolnir, Thor’s former hammer!
During the film, the public will also discover new characters such as Zeus (Russell Crowe) or Dwayne, Corgi’s boyfriend. And the wife of Kronien’s warrior does not have this name by chance.
Nod to Rock!
A fan called out director Taika Waititi on Twitter, thinking the newly introduced Cronien’s name was a reference to actor Dwayne Johnson. And this is it! The fan in question shared a photo montage of Cronien Dwayne in one of Dwayne Johnson’s most famous photos.
This is’Photo from 1994 – shortly before Dwayne Johnson became a wrestling legend – where the star is seen in a black turtleneck and jeans with a silver chain and a banana.
Taika Waititi explained in his retweet that this was no accident. In addition to the actor, the wrestler wanted to pay tribute, because Dwayne Johnson was nicknamed “The Rock”, and Kronians are creatures made of stones and rocks (“The Rock”, in English. ).
Thor: Love and Thunder, Korg deserves a happy ending. So she finds a partner in the person of Dwayne, with whom she gives birth to a child by touching a lava pit. And fans were quick to pick up on Dwayne Johnson’s reference to this new character. Hence, the reference was confirmed by Taika Waititi.
