Anais decides to file a lawsuit against Sam
At the institute, Judy goes to see Anais at the studio. After the latter’s revelation, which the latter had made to him the day before, the young man took an interest in the Internet and received confirmation that he could indeed become deaf. Anais explains that the shot she took awakened her illness. He adds that one of his ears is beyond repair, while the other is still in operation. But the young woman wants to wait for the tasting, despite Judy’s warning. When Milan arrives at the studio, Anais and Judy act as if nothing happened.
A little later, Anais finds Enzo and Vic in the park. The latter tries to find out if Milan really hit Anais during the argument with Sam, but Anais assures them that Milan was trying to protect her. Enzo then tells him that he saw the two guys together the other day, as if they were still friends. He advises his friend to file a complaint against Sam if Milan really has nothing to be ashamed of.
Back at the studio, Anais admits to Milan that she’s hesitant to press charges against Sam, then defends her former inmate, stressing that he doesn’t deserve to go back to prison, even if what he did was unjustified. He begs Anais not to press charges.
During the cooking session, Anais hides her suffering from the ears and the fact that she is getting worse and worse at hearing. When Teissier arrives at their dish to give his opinion, he notices that the young woman is not well and offers advice on how to improve her recipe.
In the hallway, Milan calls Jude and asks about Anais’ condition because she’s worried about him. But Judy keeps a friend secret. Milan then researches the meaning of ear bleeding on the internet.
For her part, Anais contacted the police to file a complaint against Sam, she still hopes that this will not cause problems for Milan and will explain to the police the connection between her and the ex-prisoner.
After which Anais puts some bottles in the wine cellar. Due to his poor hearing, he cannot hear Milan talking behind him. When he touches her to mark her presence, she jumps in fear and drops a case of fine wine on the ground. Milan helps him clean everything.
They throw broken glass in the trash on the street. While Anais wants to go back to the basement to clean the floor, Milan insists on taking care of her and going on vacation. A young woman turns on her heels as Sam accuses Milan of reporting her to the police. Anais backs off and claims that she was the one who filed the complaint against him.
Sam blames Milan for breaking up with him after they’ve been together. The latter keeps calm and starts going with his girlfriend. But when Sam insults Anais, Milan loses his cool. He turns to Sam and pushes him to the ground, then attacks if he comes near Anais again…
Malik uses his gift
In the management office, Clotilde forces Tessier to read the criticism that Malick made of his entry. Clotilda is forced to admit that her criticism is very relevant and that she has pointed out her weaknesses with mind-boggling accuracy. After reading it in turn, Teissier realizes that Malick has a certain gift for criticism.
At the same time, Rose arrives at the office with new schedules from Master’s superiors. Teissier inquires about the situation and realizes that the students are still deadlocked on their concept. He decides to go and taste their dishes at the atelier and notices that everything they offer lacks boldness and flavor.
Teissier and Clotilde summon Malick to the workshop and taste Lionel’s plate to criticize him. The young man complies, and makes particular emphasis on the presence of samphire in the sauce—a detail that had escaped Tessier and Clotilde. Malik then confides in them that he has an absolute mansion. Teissier then asks him to write a scathing review of all the young master chefs’ dishes in the hope that it will cause a stir among them.
At the end of the day, Malik’s criticism is posted anonymously on the Institute’s boards. Young master chefs feel humbled after reading them, but also admit their mistakes. They still question the identity of the critic.
Angel refuses to work at the institute
Colin and Berenia approach Antoine to submit Angel’s application for the vacant market gardener position at the Institute. To convince her, Coline tastes her mother’s fig crumble.
Antoine goes to Angel’s organic farm to offer her a job. But when he heard that it was a position as a market gardener at the Institut Auguste Armand, he turned it down, saying he preferred to work with small restaurateurs.
A little later, Coline goes to her mother’s farm, who accuses her of backstabbing. Coline claims she did it to help him. Angel understands, but reminds her that she prefers to stay away from Rose. He then urges his daughter to be more honest with him. Koline carefully declines her cousin’s call and promises her mother that she will be more honest in the future.
