The owner of Cruzeiro talks about Gabigol: “Let’s hope, it’s our dream”

The striker has a contract with Flamengo until the end of the current season, and Pedrinho reveals that he wants to count on the athlete

Cruzeiro’s SAF owner Pedro Lourenço said he was awaiting a resolution on the club’s situation with Gabigol. The director spoke after the final of the Mineiro Women’s Championship, played this Wednesday (20th) between Celeste and Atlético-MG.

Gabigol, in turn, declared after the Copa do Brasil final that the decision on his future would be his, defending Rubro-Negro. His name was linked to Palmeiras and Santos, but the probable destination, from 2025, should be Cruzeiro.

“Gabigol is a dream for us, right? We hope to have a happy New Year. Surely if it’s not Gabigol he will be another great player. We’ll give the fans a Christmas gift on New Year’s Eve. That’s a certainty,” said Pedrinho .

Despite this, Cruzeiro has never hidden that they consider Gabigol a priority. The celestial management has already offered the attacker a four-year contract, including the payment of the gloves. But there is no signature between the parties yet. Gabigol has a contract with Flamengo until December 31, but has been absent from matches since the Copa do Brasil final.
