Former TV presenter Thierry Beccaro will star in “I was born in 17”, a France 2 fiction film adapted from his autobiographical novel, published in 2019, which recounts his past as a battered child.

One of PAF’s most popular anchors will soon return to France 2. The channel has just announced the start of filming for a new episode called I was born in 17, adapted from the autobiographical novel by Thierry Beccaro. Jean-Philippe Zapp and published in 2019. For this occasion, the former host of “Motus” and “Télématin” will return to La Deux to reprise his role.

Directed by Julien Serre (Munk) and written by Francois Olivier Rousseau, I was born at 17 follows Thierry, a former battered child who has managed to rebuild himself despite the abuse he endured. But childhood traumas are still there, causing anxiety and a persistent lack of self-confidence.

The announcement of the imminent death of his father, guilty of cruelty, with whom Thierry has cut off all relations, sounds like an hour of reckoning. It’s time to put your memory and feelings in order.

Thierry Becaro’s father will be played by Moises Santamaria, whom France 2 viewers know from his role as Manu in Un Si Grand Soleil. Elsa Lungini (Here It All Begins) will also be part of the cast. Jules Morlon and Pierre Azzarello will camp at different stages of Thierry’s life, while Anna Loire will lend her qualities to the former animator’s aunt.

The feature, produced by Eric Dionysius for Daigoro Films and Benjamin Lanlard for La Fabrique, will continue shooting until August 16 in and around Lille.
