Several renowned actors and actresses had the chance to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. One of the most important is the Oscar winner Cate Blanchettinterpreter of the villain Hela in Thor: Ragnarok (2017), the third of the hero’s four solo films in the franchise.

Despite this, the Australian artist is not such a fan of one aspect of Marvel Studios. A review made about the company’s work production process makes its opinion on the matter clear.

Blanchett recently spoke with GQ (via MovieWeb) about some roles in his career. When discussing Helaimplied that he did not appreciate the way in which the Marvel builds the stories of his films.

You know, Marvel isn’t necessarily used to having a complete script, so there was nothing. They storyboard the essential battles and then start working backwards to build their stories.”

Next, Cate pointed out how he would describe the process. She says:

It’s a huge, massive puzzle. I don’t know.”

On the other hand, anyone who thinks that Cate Blanchett didn’t like recording Thor: Ragnarok. The experienced actress cited one of the details that made her accept the invitation to live Hela.

What I hadn’t noticed was that this was the first time a villain had appeared (in the franchise), so that excited me a lot.”

To finish, Blanchett highlighted two more reasons responsible for making her more enthusiastic about her work. The actress said:

Did you know that the Taika (Waititidirector) would put his particular touch on the film and the Chris (Hemsworthinterpreter of Thor) was cool with everything, he was incredibly generous and fun, he was ready to take the film in a new direction. I felt like there was a really fun, uplifting energy—a breath of fresh air. It was really, really incredible.”

It is worth remembering that, at the time of the title’s launch, Cate listed three reasons for having decided to live Hela — and encompass the factors discussed above. To the newspaper Los Angeles Times (via Omelet), highlighted:

Still during the interview, Cate Blanchett made a revelation about the behind-the-scenes of Thor: Ragnarok. The actress said she acted pretending that the accessories on the villain’s head were on hers. After all, these elements were generated by computer graphics.
