Harry Potter: Voldemort looks like this according to the books

Portrayed by Ralph Fiennes in the Harry Potter saga, the dark wizard Voldemort is pale-faced, noseless, and particularly evil. Here’s what it would have looked like in the original books…

A bald and pale skull, like the two hollow nostrils of a reptile, a pitiful look and a sad smile…

Seen at the end of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (on Professor Quirrell’s skull), then featured in all of the feature films in the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire saga, the dark wizard who has sworn to kill the little wizard, played by Ralph Fiennes, is a scary-looking figure to say the least.

However, as a Twitter account Imladr moviesVoldemort’s face could have been even more monstrous if the film crew had followed JK Rowling’s description of the character in the original works.

“Livier than the skull, scarlet eyes wide open, flat nose, with two slits for nostrils, like snakes”He wrote in the fourth opus of the literary saga, especially insisting on the proximity of the animal emblem of Voldemort and Slytherin.

Inspired by these few suggestions, but also by the crew’s preparatory sculptures for the first opus – objects that are still kept in the Warner archives – the web artists had fun changing the appearance of the character in some scenes of the saga. (see above).
