Outlander is a series that tests the patience (and loyalty) of its fans. After a year and a half of waiting and the first part of Season 7 airing in the summer of 2023, viewers will be able to reunite with Claire and Jamie. As always, Netflix is offering the series a day late and is therefore putting the first episode of the second season online this Saturday.
Go back to the beginnings of the series
After spending several years in America, where they participated, despite themselves, in the American War of Independence, Claire and Jamie returned to their native land: Scotland. Very good news for a series that goes back to its roots, with its magnificent scenery and its characters, which we have not seen for a long time! And what a delight to find Lallybroch again!
But the reunion will be short-lived for our two lovers and their loved ones, as Claire receives a letter asking her to return to America immediately. The characters played by Sam Hegan and Caitriona Balfe, respectively, will undergo another separation, as confirmed by the cast and the producer. So, expect tears and especially touching scenes…
But Outlander Season 7 Episode 2, which adapts the ending of the novel Echoes of distant hearts from Diana GabaldonHe will not be satisfied with this alone. As the trailer suggests, Claire learns during her time at The Americans that Jamie is dead (he’s not, I assure you!). And even if the latter doesn’t believe it for a second, he will have to make some choices to survive without her…
Prepare the tissues
Claire and Jamie aren’t the only star-crossed lovers on Outlander. The story of Roger (Richard Rankin) and Brianna (Sophie Skelton) was not smooth either. In this sequel, Roger – who is still stuck in 1776 – does everything he can to find his son Jem, who was kidnapped in the future and brought back to the past by Rob Cameron. And he can count on his ancestor who can travel back in time to do so. As for Brianna, who is in her 70s with her daughter, she is desperately waiting for them to return…
