The ladies hit me again!
This Monday, November 25, TF1 will broadcast two new episodes of Cat’s Eyes, the series hosted by Camille Lou, Constance Labe and Claire Romain.
Tami, Celia, and Alexia are still searching for Cat’s Eyes, a piece of art that belonged to their father. After breaking into ultra-secure BRB headquarters to retrieve a video incriminating Tam, the Chamade sisters decide to steal the Louvre’s analysis lab.
If Alexandre Laurent’s cameras were well received in the world’s most famous museum, the director still had to show a lot of imagination for safety.
“We had to invent everything”
Allocine was revealed by Alexandre Laurent behind the scenes of this shoot at the Louvre Museum. And the production had to juggle the constraints imposed by museum officials, especially regarding travel and the presentation of space.
“We had to lie about everything in the Louvre. All the paths the girls take in the museum are wrong. When they open the door, the next place you find yourself is not real“, he says.
Adjustments are related to a very specific reason. He explains, “This was the directive of the museum staff. They didn’t want us to show them the actual route for security reasons. I saw the real security system of the Louvre, I thought it was very cool, but I was told no. We had to invent everything“.
“don’t let us go”
In addition to security issues, Alexandre Laurent’s teams also faced strict rules regarding the preservation of the works. “In the Louvre, we were not allowed in the rooms where there were paintings, so as not to damage the works by vibration. And since Mona Lisa had received the compote a week earlier, they didn’t want to let her go.“, he continues.
Despite these necessary limitations, Alexandre Laurent recalls with particular enthusiasm the creative opportunities offered to him by exploring the lesser-known areas of the museum. “The Louvre encouraged us to go to places that were rarely photographed to highlight works that we are not used to seeing. We really walked everywhere. It was really cool!“.
