Gugu Liberato’s mother reveals the presenter’s illness: ‘Only I knew it’

Gugu Freeddied at the age of 60 in 2019 after suffering a domestic accident at his home in Orlando, United States, was diagnosed with a brain disease.

The presenter’s mother Maria do Céumade the shocking revelation and stated that no one was aware of the problem. “Just me”he said.

“He had an aneurysm in his head. Nobody knew, only me. He went to the doctor and said it was an aneurysm. You can’t hit it, because if you hit it it bursts.”he said in a statement for the documentary Gugu, Toninho and Augusto, on +SBT.

The matriarch, however, did not go into further details.

In another documentary series, “Gugu, so simple”, from Playplus, Maria do Céu recounted the last moments together with the Record presenter.

“That day [da viagem] He spent over three hours in my room talking to me. And usually he didn’t stay like that for long… Then he kissed me and, when he went to open the door to go out, I called him and gave him a kiss”, he recalled emotionally.

“It seems like I was guessing and so was he. It was as if he was telling us: ‘I’m not going back'”has completed.
