Menzel and Chenoweth played Elphaba and Glinda, respectively, in the Broadway musical
Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth revealed several behind-the-scenes moments from Wicked this Friday, the 25th. The actresses played Elphaba and Glinda, respectively, in the originally Broadway musical.
They make a special appearance in the film starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivowhich arrived in Brazilian cinemas last week.
Menzel and Chenoweth appear on the scene in the Emerald City singing “One Short Day”, when Elphaba (Erivo) and Glinda (Big) are on their way to meet the Magician (Jeff Goldblum).
“This was a special day. Brotherhood everywhere. 💚🩷🧹🫧,” he wrote Menzel in the caption of the Instagram post.
The actress appears in a photo alongside Erivo. Both are wearing costumes. In others, Menzel is accompanied by personalities such as Chenoweth, Ethan Slater and the musical executive producer Stephen Oremus.
Chenowethin turn, also shared photos on his Instagram this Friday. She wrote in the caption: “A short day 🥹🫧 The most magical moment back in the Emerald City 💚🩷 Who watched @wickedmovie this weekend?!?”
