“Flamengo doesn’t feel comfortable with Corinthians’ guarantees,” says Braz regarding the deal for Hugo

The vice president of Flamengo Calcio, however, agrees with Augusto Melo and believes that the deal will be concluded by 30

Despite yet another denial from Flamengo regarding Corinthians’ guarantees offers to have Hugo Souza ultimately, the Corinthian president Augusto Melo is optimistic about keeping the Parque São Jorge goalkeeper.

“We are meeting the deadline, Corinthians does not have this financial situation (to be paid in cash). But there’s no chance (of the loss of Hugo Souza)“, defended participation in the program SBT Arena. The club has until Saturday the 30th to finalize the negotiation.

The intention is to pay R$4.8 million for 50% of the athlete’s rights. Furthermore, there is R$1 million for the loan and another R$1.5 million related to fines for three matches in which Hugo was on the field for Corinthians against Flamengo, for a total of R$7.3 million R$.

Augusto Melo had already recently accused Flamengo of having played a “dirty game” in the negotiation. During Corinthian’s participation in the SBT program, Flamengo’s vice president of football, Marcos Braz, called in live to tell his side of the story.

“Flamengo does not feel comfortable with the guarantee that Corinthians gives us today. But I am sure that Corinthians will be able to do it by the deadline. I want to clarify that there is no stalemate of Flamengo because they believe that the value set for the sale was low,” defended Braz.

The Rio club’s intention is to retain 40% of the player’s rights. Braz believes that selling 50% for R$4.8 million is a good size.

According to the Flamengo leader, the obstacle to the negotiation is that Corinthians offers guarantees similar to those foreseen in the Matheuzinho negotiation. Braz claims that not everything that was promised when the deal was finalized by the outsider was delivered.

“The guarantees that were given, it seems to me, were the same as those given to Matheuzinho. And we had a problem with that. It would be difficult for Flamengo to receive the same guarantee that they failed to obtain or were not able to obtain. satisfied,” he explained.

Despite the disagreement, the Flamengo fan ended his participation in the armistice with Augusto Melo. “Flamengo feels satisfied, given that they will keep 40% of the player. Flamengo’s owner is Rossi. I want to send a hug to president Augusto Melo, I was at his inauguration,” he said.

The Corinthian agrees and declares that by the 30th everything will be settled. During the broadcast Melo did not name the other reinforcements, but said that the Corinthians window will be “punctual”. He confirmed that there had been talks with Spaniard Sergio Ramos, but with no progress towards a proposal.
