Goalkeeper Hugo Souza has been purchased permanently by Corinthians, who has formalized a four-year contract. After more than two months of negotiations and some conflicts between the parties, the Sao Paulo club paid 800 thousand euros in cash to Flamengo on Tuesday (26) for the goalkeeper.
Timão invested, in total, R$7.3 million. Of the amount, R$1 million refers to the loan, R$1.5 million in fines for the three matches in which the goalkeeper faced Flamengo on loan and, finally, R$4.8 million for the acquisition of 50% of the athlete’s economic rights
The Rio club, which made Corinthians’ purchase of the athlete as difficult as possible, continues to hold 40% of the player’s rights. Once the impasse was resolved, Hugo Souza celebrated his stay at the Sao Paulo club. Watch the video!
