As Wayana 2 prepares to hit our theatres, eight years after the first opus, the live-action version has just begun filming.
Set for April 2023, Moana Live is directed by Thomas Kyle (Hamilton), written by Jared Bush and Dana LeDue Miller (co-director of Moana 2) and co-produced by Dwayne Johnson – who voices the demigod Maui. in film animation and is apparently getting a role in the film.

The first photos and videos from the filming of the feature film have been revealed. We see the young explorer’s boat, Dwayne Johnson Dressed like Maui in a long wig and leaf canopy and The Demigod’s Giant Nut.
On Rocky’s left chest we can also see a tattoo of Minnie Maui, her alter ego coming to life in ink.
