As conventions and other pop culture celebrations — conducive to revelations and big announcements — make a big comeback in physics, Disney may have missed the boat on a major announcement by mistake. This error applies to the Star Wars series, which has received nothing but rave reviews.
A fan has posted on Instagram what appears to be a promotional poster for the Star Wars series that is available or will be released on Disney+. So we can see Andor (available soon), Obi-Wan Kenobi (already available), The Mandalorian (seasons 1 and 2 available, season 3 upcoming), The Bad Batch (season 1 available, season 2 upcoming).
But what we are interested in is about the Boba Fett book. On the poster we can read “Season 1 available” and especially “Season 2 coming”. Which means Disney has given the green light for a second round of episodes for the series with Temuera Morrison!
This leak should be taken with a grain of salt, but if proven wrong, The Book of Boba Fett will join the list of Star Wars series that have more than one season. Obi-Wan Kenobi may also join the list — the cast is in the works — but we’ll have to wait for confirmation from Disney.
As for the Boba Fett book, we don’t know if we can expect confirmation of this leak at Comic-Con in San Diego, as there is no Star Wars panel scheduled during that convention, which starts on July 21st. Confirmation could come in September during D23, a convention dedicated to Disney affiliates presenting their new projects.
As a reminder, the Boba Fett book is a Mandalorian spin-off that focuses on Boba Fett and the mercenary Fennec Shand. After venturing into the lower reaches of the galaxy, they return to the middle of the Tatooine Dunes to claim the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.
The first season of The Book of Boba Fett is available on Disney+.
