The musical event will take place in February 2025
The host and artistic director of the Sanremo Festival, Carlo Conti, announced this Sunday (1) the 30 competitors who will participate in the 75th edition of the famous Italian music competition, scheduled for 11 and 15 February 2025.
The extensive list includes the rapper Fedez, who made headlines during the year for the end of his marriage to the digital influencer Chiara Ferragni, and the Italian-Brazilian singer Gaia Gozzi.
The list of participants, who will hunt for the title of a competition that has already revealed names such as Laura Pausini and Maneskin, also includes Achille Lauro, Francesco Gabbani, Massimo Ranieri, Elodie, Francesca Michelin and Rocco Hunt.
Conti, who will present the music festival after five consecutive seasons with Amadeus at the helm, revealed the names of the participants in a program on Rai.
“It’s a particularly varied cast. Of course the songs count, but starting from the names we begin to outline this musical bouquet, in the sense of how it will be composed. It has a bit of everything, many flavours. I hope these songs fill the charts as they are happened in recent years”, declared the host.
The decision to change the regulations of the Sanremo Festival, increasing the number of competitors from the expected 24 to 30, was taken by Conti himself due to the high quality and quantity of the songs received, Rai reports.
