23 Days Before Christmas: This TV movie on TF1 claims to be set in Austria, even though it was filmed on the other side of the world

Although the month of December has only just begun, TF1 already has us in the Christmas magic with two TV movies every afternoon that smell like the holidays. And this Monday, December 2, from 2:20 p.m., the channel takes us to Vienna with La Chocolaterie de Noël.

When you have to save the chocolate factory

In this Christmas TV movie, which has not yet been released in France, viewers will be able to follow Henry (played by Will Kemp), a young billionaire at the helm of two real estate companies, one of which he has recently acquired.

To oversee their merger, he traveled to Vienna. There he meets Charlotte (Brittany Bristow), a young American who has taken over the family chocolate factory. Unfortunately, the building where the store is located is in danger of being demolished due to a construction project.

A project initiated by the company that Henry had just bought. He doesn’t realize it right away, he gets closer to Charlotte. A chance for him to discover all the magic of Vienna this festive season.

Did they really film the Christmas Chocolate Factory in Vienna?

At the risk of disappointing viewers, the Christmas Chocolate Factory was not filmed in Vienna. In fact, the film crew on the other side of the earth put down their suitcases, because they shot in Canada, and more precisely in the province of Quebec.

The TV movie was filmed at the Montreal Christmas Market, the Windsor Ballroom, one of the city’s most prestigious historic reception venues, and the Place Jacques-Cartier Christmas Market in Old Montreal. Certainly a magical setting that is still a thousand miles from the city of Vienna.

Catch La chocolaterie de Noël this Monday 2 December from 2.20pm on TF1.
