In How to Sell the Moon, sparks fly in all directions as marketing expert Kelly Jones (Scarlett Johansson), hired to repair NASA’s public image, wreaks havoc on the already difficult task of Apollo 11 launch director Cole Davis ( Channing Tatum).
When the White House deems the mission too important to fail, Jones is instructed to stage a fake Moon landing as a plan B, and the countdown begins. While nerves are frayed, Jones and Davis face intense pressure to ensure the hoax is convincing enough to inspire an entire nation. With time running out and technical challenges looming, they are forced to reevaluate their own convictions about ethics and patriotism when startling revelations threaten to expose their audacious plan.
Amid growing tension, the pair are faced with choices that could change the course of history and their own lives forever.
