The Dark Knight came out the previous summer, and Christopher Nolan is now the main filmmaker. Fans are already looking forward to the third part of the Batman saga, but the British filmmaker’s new feature film, especially the mysterious one, is also being watched with great attention by the whole world.
59 mysterious seconds
So far, cultivating secrecy as usual, Nolan has revealed virtually nothing about his mysterious project. We recently learned that the feature film will be directed by Leonardo DiCaprio and Marion Cotillard and will be set in Paris.
For the rest, we therefore have to make do with the 59 seconds of the teaser, which aired in theaters a year before the film’s release, and filming has yet to be completed.
Disturbing, strange, confusing, inaccessible, the trailer is nothing short of spectacular. Bursting with deafening brass notes that literally shake the room, it only allows us to glimpse a few shots of the film, incoherent and blurry, as if suspended between dream and reality.
Mysterious plans
The top rotates. The man was kidnapped from the airport. The glass of water starts to vibrate. Two men are fighting in the corridor, in weightlessness. DiCaprio emerges from the bath fully clothed.
To find out these many secrets, he gave us only two clues. The title of the movie, Inception, which means nothing to anyone at this point. and the slogan: “Your mind is a crime scene.”
Right now, no one knows what Nolan’s new movie will be about, but everyone already has a feeling it’s going to be the real thing. And indeed, upon its release in theaters on July 21, 2010, Inception immediately found itself in the ranks of science fiction classics.
Science Fiction Summit
This heist film cements Nolan’s international fame further into the subconscious. With an AlloCiné audience average of 4,452 stars out of 5 (and therefore considered the third best sci-fi film of all time), it stands out as a true pinnacle of the genre.
