IPVA 2025: Motorists can now find out the amount of their debt on Gringo

The new feature has a simple and intuitive interface, is available on the Gringo Super website and app and helps motorists with financial planning

To help Brazilian motorists not to be caught by surprise and prepare for the IPVA payment at the beginning of next year, Gringo, a Super App that aims to simplify the lives of motorists and which has more than 20 million customers, offers available on the site and in the application the IPVA 2025 calculator.

The functionality, which is popular among Gringo customers, is simple, secure and provides an estimate of the amount that will have to be paid from the beginning of next year.

Gringo’s 2025 IPVA calculator solves the problem for those who don’t want surprises because it provides a preview of the price based on the value of the vehicle through the Fipe Table – which can also be monitored on the Super App.

Additionally, the calculation takes into account the tax rate applied by state governments, which varies by state and category.

“Calculating the IPVA value with our calculator is very simple. Just access the Super App or the Gringo website, enter the vehicle data and that’s it, the driver will have an estimate of the debt amount,” comments Daniel Andrade, Growth Product Manager at Gringo.

The calculator is now available on the website and on the Super App for all the states in which Gringo operates: São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Paraná, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, Bahia, Maranhão, Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul, Federal District and Rondônia.

Ease of payment

In the Super App, in addition to resolving IPVA with the full license, drivers can resolve all their vehicle debts in one place.

In addition to helping with financial planning, on the Gringo Super app the driver can also activate the option to be reminded of the IPVA expiry date. This way you don’t put off payment until the last minute and you can take advantage of the discount for paying in cash.

For those who want payment flexibility, Gringo helps too. In the Super App, motorists can choose the best way to pay the IPVA, which can be by credit card, Pix or bank receipt. And there is still the flexibility to pay up to 12 installments via credit card.
