RAYCENTER: Kristina Asmus and Ivan Dobronravov will star in one film

Online cinema IVI has started filming the comedy series “RAIcenter” with Christina Asmus, Dmitry Chebotarev and Ivan Dobronravov in the lead roles. The black comedy will be directed by Danila Chashchin and Eduard Moshkovich, and produced by Alexander Tsekalo and Ivan Samokhvalov. The series will be part of the IVI Originals lineup and will be released on the platform next year.

According to the plot, former classmates gather in the village of Varmalei for the twentieth anniversary of graduation. A glorious anniversary is overshadowed by a car caught from the pond, which has lain at the bottom since the memorable graduation. Inside – a corpse and an unusual stone, which turns out to be a meteorite. The investigation, as if into a funnel, draws in all those who have gathered to celebrate: it exacerbates old conflicts, confuses the already complicated relations between former classmates and their teachers. Everyone learns something shocking about themselves and others: who they were in the 90s, who they have become and what they are capable of in the present.

This whole story is revenge, – said Christina Asmus, who plays the role of Milka. – Revenge on life, on the past. All heroes are unloved, wounded, therefore they wear masks, they want to be better than they are. I play a tough character. The queen of the school, who comes to avenge a failed life. But despite the abundance of blood in the script, “RAIcenter” is a genre, comedy project, with a huge amount of good humor. The director and producers put together just a crazy cast. People with whom I dreamed of working, a lot of theater actors and new names. We had joint readings and the feeling that we really all finished the same class. The project has such a strong and kind energy, when the feeling of family and everyone is burning with a common cause. I rarely see this in movies. I think this is important for a successful project.

The script immediately hooked me with a very unusual cool story in which several genres are revealed at once,” said Ivan Dobronravov, who played the role of Vasya. – My character is perhaps the most boring in this series. He became a policeman and, unlike his classmates, did not go anywhere after school, he remained in his native village. But it opens up unexpectedly. The acting group prepared a lot for filming: we often met with the director, read, came up with some stories, jokes, problems that unite these former classmates. All this had to be worked out to make such a verbal-non-verbal ballet. True, I don’t want to say a lot so as not to tell the nuances of the plot itself, but I’m sure it will be very interesting.
