A long-awaited television project announced seven years ago, the American remake of the French series Le Bureau des Légendes has finally come to fruition. The Eric Roshant feature, which is being produced by Mathieu Kasowitz, has been rebranded as a transatlantic agency, with George Clooney producing.
Written by Jez and John-Henry Butterworth (Edge of Tomorrow, Le Mans 66), the new spy series is directed by filmmaker Joe Wright (Pride and Prejudice, The Dark Hours) for the first two episodes and features a prestigious cast.
The agency has Michael Fassbender, Jeffrey Wright (Westworld), Jodie Turner-Smith (Star Wars: Sidekick), Katherine Waterston (Perry Mason), John Magaro (The Big Short), Harriet Sansom Harris (Desperate Housewives), India Fowler (The Nevers) , Saura Lightfoot-Leon (Masters of the Air), Reza Brogerd and Richard Gere, as well as Dominic West (The Crown) and Hugh Bonneville (Downton Abbey) guest stars.
What is the agency about?
The 10-episode Agency tells the story of CIA agent Martian (Michael Fassbender), who returns to his London base and struggles to leave his last cover. When Sam (Jodie Turner-Smith), the woman he loved, reappears, romance is rekindled.

Showtime and MTV Entertainment Studios announced that the American remake of The Bureau of Legends was the most streamed new series in Showtime history with 5.1 million viewers.
The channel has declared him as a worthy heir of the motherland and seems to be betting big on this new fiction. The first results seem to satisfy the production, the channel and Paramount+, as the agency has already been renewed for a second season!
