Information on the One Piece live-action series, and it’s good. In August 2023, Netflix released the first season of the live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s famous manga. Highly anticipated by fans, the series was a success and the platform quickly ordered an additional season.
One Piece follows the adventures of the Straw Hat Pirates Monkey D. Led by Luffy. The latter, an enthusiastic young man with elastic powers, is played by Inaki Godoi. The Mexican actor was chosen by Eiichiro Oda himself, and the two men have maintained a deep friendship ever since.
Season 3 filming soon?
The filming of the second season started a few months ago and will end in a few days. Vincent Regan, who plays Vice Admiral Garp in the series, confirmed during a Comic-Con panel in Vienna, Austria that he has finished filming his scenes for the second season.
The British actor also suggested that the episodes could be broadcast “Next Christmas” on Netflix.
But that’s not all, as Vincent Regan also reveals that Season 3 filming could begin very soon. To date, Netflix has not officially ordered a third season. Maybe the British actor leaked confidential information.
As a reminder, the next season will adapt the beginning of the Arabasta arc, which will introduce new characters such as Crocodile (Joe Manganiello), Vivi Nerfertiti (Charitra Chandran), Miss Wednesday (Lera Abova) and Dr. Kureha (Kate Segal).
Other iconic characters are set to appear in this second season, notably Ace and Tony Tony Chopper, but their replacements have yet to be revealed!
The first season of the live-action One Piece series is now available exclusively on Netflix.
