Ballots and Bap’s denunciation: everything about the Flamengo elections

Information on the first hours of the Rubro-Negro electoral race, in Gávea, which will last until 9pm (Brasilia time)

Flamengo’s first exit from the electoral race, which began on Monday morning (9), marks the leadership of the opposition, with Luiz Eduardo Baptista as the candidate. Rodrigo Dunshee de Abranches, running for the situation, appears in second place with 54 votes less. Voting will take place all day and the counting of votes will begin after the end of the elections, at 9pm (Brasilia time).

According to the first partial of the Flamengo elections, released at 9am, Bap is far ahead of Dunshee. Maurício Gomes de Mattos is in third place, with a percentage lower than “undeclared”. It’s worth noting, however, that the exit polls do not represent the club’s official numbers.

Flamengo partial elections (9:00)

— Luiz Eduardo Baptista: 156 votes

— Rodrigo Dunshee: 102 votes

— Maurício Gomes de Mattos: 15 votes

— Not declared: 68 votes

Bap’s complaint

Around 10am, Luiz Eduardo Baptista filed a complaint regarding the use of the club’s system. Bap called for conditions – or not – for members to vote. In other words, whether voters will be on the list to vote or not. After the request, representatives on Dunshee’s ticket accused the candidate of offending board members.

The president of Flamengo’s General Assembly, Carlos Henrique, called members of all parties to a conference in which it was established that the complaint was unfounded.

“It was not from Bap, but from a member of his ticket who is in charge of the inspection. He was suspicious and thought that the application used by one of the tickets was very similar. So he presented a request to the Assembly table. Bap did the same. We called Flamengo’s IT manager, we called the teams to go to the screening area, and the IT representatives verified that the two applications were normal, everything was fine,” Carlos Henrique told the press.

Second partial

The second exit poll came out around 11.30 am, in the midst of more intense movement in Gávea. With 844 votes, the new partial, initially announced by Venê Casagrande, kept Luiz Eduardo Baptista ahead in the leadership.

— Luiz Eduardo Baptista: 372 votes

— Rodrigo Dunshee: 235 votes

— Maurício Gomes de Mattos: 78 votes

— Not declared: 159 votes
