After the end of the season and Corinthians’ ranking, this December three players saw their departure confirmed by Alvinegro. They are: Caetano, Matheus Araújo and Ruan Oliveira. T-shirts 4, 30 and 33, respectively.
Player Caetano is a defender, while Matheus Araújo and Ruan Oliveira are midfielders. Ruan Oliveira did not take the field with Corinthians in 2024, due to an injury from which he was recovering. As with the other players, the management tried to negotiate their stay, but failed. Caetano has only played 16 games this year, and Matheus 12.
Meanwhile, speculations were circulating about the possible departure of Yuri Alberto, number 9 in the team, but these were denied by the player himself at the ESPN Bola de Prata Awards, in which he won as top scorer.
In addition to confirming Yuri Alberto’s stay, the team is looking to renew the contract with the Giovane player, but his future in the team is uncertain. The team aims to renew the contract with the attacker, but has not yet managed to find a consensus. Although his contract runs until June 2025, the player will not take the field for Timão until his situation is resolved.
