Yellowstone: Will the Series End at the End of Season 5? We finally have the answer!

Will Yellowstone season 5 be the last? Initially, the series was announced to end in this fifth season after the departure of Kevin Costner. Seven or eight seasons were originally planned, but the American actor’s decision seems to hasten the end of the series.

But against all expectations, Yellowstone’s end has looked less certain in recent weeks. Several US media outlets have revealed that a 6th season is under consideration and that the future of the program depends on ongoing negotiations with the main cast.

The end of Yellowstone is coming

But today our colleagues term We can confirm that Season 5 of Yellowstone will indeed be the last. But, that’s not the real end, as a spin-off centering on Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler’s characters has just been officially ordered.

This spin-off series, which doesn’t have an official title yet, joins a list of Yellowstone spin-offs including the 1944 prequel, 1923 Season 2 (which air date was just announced) or even Madison with Michelle Pfeiffer. We remind you that the development of the 6666 series has been stopped due to logistical reasons.

Our American colleagues also report that other Yellowstone characters may appear in this new series. It’s hard not to think specifically of Casey Dutton, or even the faithful Lloyd Pearce who was the witness at the wedding between Beth and Rip.

Jamie Dutton’s presence will depend on the fate reserved for the character in the Yellowstone finale, which is scheduled for next Monday in the United States (and then on December 30 in France). Whether you’re a fan or not, the end of Yellowstone will undoubtedly mark a new chapter in the history of American soap operas.

All series of the world of Yellowstone can be seen exclusively on Paramount+, which is also offered as part of a subscription to Canal+.
