Public riots on social media against Galisteu and the production of “A Fazenda”

Viewers reject any explanation for the failure to cancel White Power and criticize the presenter’s mocking tone




The case study irritates spectators

Internet users are extremely angry with the producers and presenter of “A Fazenda 16”. After 24 hours of campaigning, videos and evidence that underlined that Vanessa Carvalho did not follow the rules of the program, the reality team did not cancel the powers of the lamp, keeping Roça fivefold. Protests accumulate on X, Facebook, Instagram, Threads and Bluesky, attacking the reputation of the production, often questioned for not having the same transparency as “Big Brother Brazil”.

The explanation given by presenter Adriane Galisteu did not convince the majority of viewers, who considered the justification an affront. According to Galisteu, the lamp was not canceled because Vanessa only spoke about the Orange Power, which was already open, and not about the White Power, which was still in play. The broadcaster showed the dialogue between Vanessa and Gilson de Oliveira, with a cut, to demonstrate the fact. However, there is another video in which Gilsão admits to having talked about White Power with that person.

To make matters even more complicated, until then the rule, repeated every Tuesday by Galisteu, said that the owner of the lamp could not speak to anyone under any circumstances. It is worth mentioning that, during “A Fazenda 14”, Galisteu canceled the Power in the hands of Pelé Milflows by stating: “He who has the Power, does not speak” – although the cancellation was due to the fact that the rapper had opened the Power a second time.

Seeing the increasingly loud protest on the networks, the presenter recorded a new video to state that the ban, which she always reinforces, has never been a rule, but a recommendation. The mocking tone of the post inflamed tempers even more, placing Galisteu’s name at the top of the list of the most talked about topics on X (formerly Twitter).

Exalted spirits

“Galisteu states that it is not a rule for those who won the lamp to talk about power at that moment, but only to “not cause discomfort”. Guys, this can just be a joke. There have also been people punished in other editions because they talked : Shame!”, protested an Internet user.

“Viewers feel like idiots. ‘You can’t speak when you have the power’ (Galisteu). Vanessa speaks. ‘Ah, now you can’,” one viewer commented.

“In other rural areas they say ‘those in power don’t speak’, then Vanessa speaks horribly and nothing gets done. This program really has no credibility and everyone knows it,” criticized a third.

“I stopped watching it! Not only because it might not be cancelled, but because Galisteu was instructed to be ironic and cynical with G4 fans; it is disrespectful to those who give audience. Unfair program! Terrible character,” said another person.

“Those in power don’t speak. Vanessa and Gilsão have spoken more than Juninho all season! They don’t follow their own rules,” complained one maverick.

“The face of Galisteu who mocks us and says: ‘You see, Vanessa didn’t say anything about power, especially because she had already opened hers’. Only Galisteu, who knew what was in white power, so I had to stay silently until the power was unlocked by Sidney,” another pointed out.
