Chris Pine’s Dungeons & Dragons film takes over San Diego Comic-Con with an immersive experience in a tavern

As fans of Dungeons & Dragons know, a successful gaming campaign is all about immersion in history. At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Paramount’s next film based on the beloved tabletop role-playing game, this is exactly the path the studio has taken to show the film. Nestled in the Gaslamp Quarter, across from the San Diego Convention Center, convention adventurers can experience Chris Pine’s film in an exciting way.

The Dungeons and Dragons: honor thieves Tavern Experience, located on the corner of Sixth Avenue and Island Avenue and open to the public, gives us our first taste of what to expect from Before the 2023 film and a fun geeky bar experience in the heart of Comic-Con. And when you step into the 20-minute experience, there’s an incredible look at some of the cast’s looks. Look:

In a short clip on framed screens as you queue up and enter the tavern, the experience reveals which class each of the cast will play. According to the symbols next to their names, star Trek actor Chris Pine appears to be playing a bard, Fast & FuriousMichelle Rodríguez will be a barbarian and BridgertonRégé-Jean Page will be a champion. Also, the clip includes detective Pikachuit’s Judge Smith, who’ll be a magician, THIS ISThere is Sophia Lillis as a druid and Hugh Grant as a thief.

Once you are in the tavern halls, there is a rather ominous and spooky air to the room when you come across a series of beast statues in the “hall of monsters”. This is where we find the first teaser of a mysterious “jelly-like cube” to “pay attention to”. Yes, gelatin cube:

It then takes you to the main location of the Tavern Experience where Queen’s “Radio Gaga” plays and there are also photo ops inside the gelatinous cube. you can take a sip glow-in-the-dark drinks are served, such as the house Dragon’s Beer and equally green mojito shots. Dragon’s Brew is the refreshing tavern version of a Moscow Mule, with fresh lime juice, orange extract, ginger beer, simple syrup and protective elixir essence. You can take the drink with or without vodka.

The real kicker that does the Dungeons and Dragons The most memorable experience is a massive display of the beasts we have been warned about will appear throughout the experience. The smoke, hustle and bustle and various actors (you can interact with) inside the tavern who are really stressed out by the beast keep me interested and excited for the action in the film.

All in all, this experience really intrigued me for a movie I knew nothing about except a some quick things announced over the years, such as casting and writing / directing John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein of geeks and geeks. It looks like it will be family friendly and truly transform the world of DnD into a cinematic experience.

If you are thinking of taking a look at the Dungeons and Dragons: honor thieves Tavern Experience in San Diego will be open Thursday 21st July from 12pm to 10pm, Friday 22nd July from 10am to 8pm, and Saturday 23rd July from 10am to 8pm PST.
