Surprise first day in France this week! It’s not even a comedy with Christian Clavier (Never without my therapist), neither The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim Which are at the top of the rankings, but the first French feature to be preceded by great word of mouth: twenty gods !

Directed by Louise Courvoisier, this film does not have a title in the cast, as it was shot with amateur actors from the village where the director shot the film, in the Jura.

Next up at the Cannes Film Festival in the Absurd Vision section, then awarded a prize at the French-language Film Festival Angoulême last August, Vingt Dieux attracted more than 41,000 viewers, a solid number of previews (more than half).

We find it on the 2nd step Never without my therapistA new comedy with Christian Clavier and Baptiste Lechaplain (35,278 admissions, including 11,658 in AVP). Starting below Splendid cast’s usual scores.

In the third position is an animated film Teddy Pooh Christmas With 31,896 entries, including 27,811 in AVP. An animated version of The Lord of the Rings Only in 4th place, with 17,106 entries (including 7,554 in AVP). Finally, a difficult take off for the film St. Exwith Louis Garrel, Diane Kruger and Vincent Cassel, drawing 14,853 viewers (including 4,763 in AVP).
