One project may hide another for Luc Besson! A little over a year ago, we learned that the director known for The Big Blue and Lucy was preparing a new version of Dracula. Filming took place in the spring.
according to DiversityThe director already has a new project and will reconnect with the sci-fi genre with a film described as Planet of the Apes: The Last Man.
Snoop Dogg will star and co-produce the project. Variety says that the plot is still under wraps, but we do know that it will be a post-apocalyptic plot inspired by Planet of the Apes, which may somehow tie in with Snoop Dogg’s song, Last Man Standing.
This won’t be Besson and Snoop Dogg’s first collaboration, with the latter providing the voice for one of Arthur and Minimoy’s characters.
In the columns of Variety, Luc Besson claims to be a big fan of Snoop Dogg after the song. who am i. “We first met 20 years ago and always wanted to work together again. We just had to find the right project, and here it is with Snoop Dogg in the lead role. I can’t wait to get started.”
The screenplay will be written by Luc Besson, who will thus be connected to the science fiction genre after The Fifth Element. Lucy Or even Valerian. According to Variety , the film will be close to The Fifth Element (see our video above), combining sci-fi, comedy and action.
Filming is planned to start in 2025.
