Astrid and Rafael’s adventure is coming to an end. After 7 weeks on the air, France 2 broadcasts the last episode of season 5 of the detective series hosted by Sarah Mortensen and Lola Deware on Friday 20 December at 21:10.
And this new burst of new episodes marks a change for our two heroes. Pregnant at the start of Season 5, Rafael had to deal with a miscarriage that solidified her budding relationship with Nicolas (Benoit Michel).
But Astrid in particular was on the test. Tetsuo (Kengo Saito) had to return to Japan because his visa expired. A significant change that greatly disturbed the young woman, but which allowed her to change her feelings.
He finally realized that he couldn’t live without her and, at the end of episode 6, he decided to propose to Tetsuo, Raphael’s greatest happiness.
During season five, Astrid also battled demons from her past. He actually buried traumas for many years that resurfaced and found their conclusion in episode 7.

In “A Wedding and Four Funerals,” Astrid and Raphael investigate on set. The famous actor was actually accidentally killed by a blank bullet. However, very quickly, the two investigators discover that they are actually dealing with a murder orchestrated by a crime expert.
And for this new investigation, the writers decided to take inspiration from Columbo, since the audience knows the culprit from the beginning of the episode. Unless they decided to play on our nerves and turn the situation around by introducing a villain from the detective series who will once again make it difficult for Astrid and Rafael.
Obviously, the two friends will get hold of the real culprit. But in the final moments of the episode, while Astrid is at City Hall to reunite with Tetsuo, an event will take place to reshuffle the cards and one of our heroes could be in great danger. A cliffhanger that will make us look forward to Season 6!
