The official page of Wicked announced, last Monday (17), a new title for the second part of the film adaptation of the hit Broadway musical, which hits theaters in November 2025.

Formerly known as Wicked: Part 2the second and final chapter of the novel starring Cynthia Erivo (Harriet) and Ariana Grande(Don’t Look Up) will now be called Wicked For Good (Wicked Foreverin free translation), in reference to For Goodone of the standout songs of the final act. Check it out:

What is the story of Wicked?

Wicked tells the story of two unlikely friends, Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo), before becoming the Wicked Witch of the Westand Glinda (Ariana Grande), the future Good Witch of the Southwho become best friends, even with opposing personalities, different points of view and the fight for the love of the same man.

In addition to Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grandethe cast of Wicked still has Jonathan Bailey (Bridgerton, Travel Companions), Bowen Yang (Megaromantic, Saturday Night Live) and Jeff Goldblum (Jurassic Park) and Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere at the Same Time), between others.

When does it debut Wicked Forever?

Initially, Wicked it would be a unique film, but the director Jon M. Chu (In a New York Neighborhood) chose to divide the story, emulating the first and second acts of the Broadway musical.
