In November, France 2 aired a poignant mini-series on its Sambre channel, adapted from the disturbing news that covered the hunt for Dino Scala, a man who assaulted and raped women with complete impunity for nearly thirty years.
During its broadcast, more than 3 million viewers fell in love with this series written and directed by Jean-Xavier de Lestrade.
Two years after this success, the author and director returns to the small screen with Des Vivants, his new mini-series available for free this Monday, October 27, on the france.tv platform, this time dealing with another equally thorny topic: the attacks of November 13, 2015.
Series on the attacks of November 13, 2015
In this new series, consisting of 8 episodes, Jean-Xavier de Lestrade focuses on the true story of the “Potages”, a group of hostages who were confronted by terrorists for more than two hours in the hallway of the Bataclan.
Through the fate of these characters, which the audience follows for several years, Jean-Xavier de Lestrade tries to soberly focus on their struggle to rebuild themselves and move on with their lives after taking these hostages.
Jean-Xavier de Lestrade called a five-star actor to portray the soups. Thus he finds Alix Poisson, who had already directed Sambre. For this occasion, he plays one of the victims, Marie.
Her on-screen husband is played by Benjamin Laverne of Comedie-Française. Antoine Reinartz (120bpm) slips into the skin of Gregory, while Felix Moat (Le Grand Bain), Ann Stephens (The Playlist), Thomas Goldberg (The New Button War) and Cedric Eckhoe play Sebastien, Carolina, David and Stephen, respectively.
Find new episodes of Des Vivants starting this Monday, October 27, on the france.tv platform. The series will then air on France 2 from Monday 3 November.
