After four seasons of merrily pulling from the bestiary of the famous Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game, it’s hard to imagine the writers of Stranger Things stopping so well! That’s why everyone is expecting one or more new monsters from this fantasy world to appear in the fifth and final season of the Netflix series.
After the Demogorgon, Mind Flayer, and Vecna, we already told you about the chance to see Hydra or Tiamat confronting Helen and her friends in the final episodes, but as mentioned correctly. Collider Other candidates stand out.
The already black smoke entity that escaped from the Russian prison that Hopper was in in season 4 may return. It could be a Shadow Demon or a Smoking Mephit, two Dungeons & Dragons creatures partially made of smoke.
The other, which can spit out blinding smoky ash, is more common and therefore may have a better chance of finishing in the series. Thus, he may be part of the army of monsters that Nancy saw in the horrifying vision of Hawkins caused by Vecna.
Mike’s sister describes only one monster in detail, indicating “A giant creature with an open mouthA description that can be applied to a famous Dungeons & Dragons antagonist: the Tyrannoeil.
Designed specifically for RPGs, this monster is a floating sphere consisting of a huge mouth full of teeth, covered by a large eye that emits a cone of anti-magic. It also has ten small eyes at the end of its tentacles, each with magical powers, some more devastating than others, such as those that allow for complete decomposition or petrification!
Cruel and nasty, Tyranoel would therefore be a powerful adversary for the Stranger Things characters, whether it’s because of Vecna’s payoff – who seems to be the creator of most of the world’s creatures upside down – or because he’s been in this parallel universe long before Henry Creel. He may be the one who formed the tunnels of this world, as he often lives underground in Dungeons & Dragons adventures.
However, you will have to be patient until the presence or absence of this beast in Stranger Things Season 5 is confirmed, as it has yet to be written!
