The president said he would have tea with the former prime minister if possible
The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, declared on Thursday (19) that his country and Italy have “mutual sympathy”.
“Despite what is happening, we see in Italian society a certain sympathy for Russia, as well as for Italy,” the head of state said during his annual press conference in Moscow.
During the event, Putin also cited the close relationship he maintained with the late former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi (1936-2023).
“He was a very friendly, very hard-working, very tenacious person,” the Kremlin chief commented, adding that, if possible, he would “have tea” with Berlusconi. .
