After Naples, the creators of the Gomorrah series, Leonardo Fasoli and Maddalena Ravagli, head to a new transalpine city: Venice. The Italian duo returns to CANAL+ with a new series Don’t Leave Me, 8 episodes of 52 minutes. And this time, we go to the side of the police for a charming but equally dark thriller, which will be fully discovered on myCANAL from July 25.
After the body of a young boy is found at the bottom of a lagoon in Venice, Don’t Leave Me follows Elena, a police officer specializing in cybercrime and child abuse, with a special interest in missing children. Sent to Venice to investigate, he teams up with Daniele, the deputy commissioner in charge of the case. The latter is also his former childhood sweetheart, who has since married his best friend…
If Daniel believes in suicide, Elena digs the traces of a deep network where all kinds of trafficking are commonplace: drugs, weapons, organs… and even children. Between chases through Venetian alleys and high-tension confrontations, the series invites us to discover the Serenissima from an unusual angle, by plunging into the darkness of the human soul.
The detective duo will be played by Vittoria Puccini (The Place, 18 Gifts…) and Alessandro Roja (Diaz – State Crime…). The latter are joined in the investigation by Sarah Felberbaum and Eugenio Franceschi, both seen in the film Medici: Masters of Florence. A 100% Italian cast, for a series we wish the same success as Gomorrah…
Do not leave me 8 episodes will be available from July 25 on myCANAL.
