Battle of the Tarts (2024)

Directed by and starring Jerry Seinfeld, the comedy “Battle of the Tarts” is loosely based on the true story of the creation of the biscuits that give the film its name.

Distributed by Netflix, the film does not live up to the reputation of the famous comedian, known for his acclaimed 1990s sitcom, “Seinfeld.” One of the main points of negative criticism was the film’s lack of fun.

Hellboy and the Crooked Man (2024)

According to the specialized media, the new adventure of the protagonist Hellboy in theaters left something to be desired. The technical aspects of the film were one of the most criticized points.

Set in the 1950s, the plot follows Hellboy (Jack Kesy) and a rookie agent who discover a community dominated by witches, led by the demon “The Crooked Man”.

Joker: Crazy for Two (2024)

In the supernatural horror “The Exorcism,” Russell Crowe plays an actor who begins to exhibit disturbing and aggressive behavior on the film set. Worried, her daughter (Ryan Simpkins) tries to figure out what’s happening.

Critical reception was largely negative, with the film described as mediocre and having resorted to clichés to develop.

The Strangers: Chapter 1 (2024)

The film is set in a dystopia where people are considered “ugly” until they are transformed into “beautiful” through extreme cosmetic surgery when they turn 16.

Borderlands: The Fate of the Universe (2024)

Based on the video game series developed by Gearbox Software, “Borderlands” was a critical and commercial failure. With negative reviews across virtually all aspects, the film was also considered generic and harmless.

In the plot, outlaw Lilith (Cate Blanchett) forms an alliance with a team of unlikely heroes to find a missing girl.

Madame Teia (2024)

The critical reception of “Madame Teia” was disastrous. The consensus considers the film shameful, embarrassing, strange, boring and incompetent in every way.

Considered one of the worst comic book films ever made, “Madame Teia” was also a huge box office failure and displeased the vast majority of audiences.

The fourth film in Sony’s Spider-Man universe, the film tells the origin story of Cassandra Webb (Dakota Johnson).
