After 7 weeks on the air, France 2 aired the final episode of Astrid and Raphael Season 5 this Friday, December 20th. The finale ended with the two investigators played by Lola Dewere and Sarah Mortensen.
Raphael is in great danger
In episode 8, they are actually in charge of investigating the death of a famous actor who was shot dead on set by a blank bullet. The two investigators quickly discover that this event was no accident.
Someone actually interfered with the gun so that it fired a real bullet. With the identity of the culprit lifted, Astrid and Raphael discover that one of their greatest enemies has resurfaced and is out for revenge.
In the final moments before Astrid is about to marry Tetsuo, tragedy strikes to level the cards… While trying to put on her friend’s wedding ring, Rafaele gets really hurt. He then collapses on the ground, poisoned by an unknown substance.
What awaits Astrid and Raphael in Season 6?
If a 6th season has not yet been officially ordered by France 2, there is no doubt that the detective series will return for additional episodes. During an interview with AlloCiné, Alexandre de Seguins, the screenwriter of Astrid and Raphael, who has already started working on the scripts for a potential season 6, gave us some hints about what awaits the two investigators in the rest of their adventures.
And once again, life will not be easy for them. “Astrid’s past is resurrected in a rather spectacular way“, he told us. “This becomes a real obstacle in his daily life, so he will be forced to deal with this issue. This will be the big arc of this season 6. Astrid and Tetsuo’s relationship will also take an unexpected turn.”
For his part, Rafael will also face new challenges, especially with Nicolas (Benoit Michel). “The relationship between Rafael and Nicola experiences twists and turns.
