Traditional milk pudding recipe

Preparation time: 1h40 (+6h in the fridge)

Performance: 6 servings

Ingredients:

Syrup

  • 1 cup (tea) sugar
  • 1/2 cup hot water

Pudding

  • 2 cans whole milk (use empty condensed can to measure)
  • 3 eggs

Preparation method:

  1. For the syrup, dissolve the sugar in a large-bottomed saucepan until golden.
  2. Add the hot water and mix with a long-handled spoon.
  3. Leave to boil until the sugar cubes have dissolved and the syrup has thickened.
  4. Line a mold with a hole in the center, 20 cm in diameter, with the syrup and set aside.
  5. For the pudding, blend the ingredients in a blender and pour them into the mold with the caramel.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and place in a medium preheated oven in a bain-marie for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  7. Once cold, place in the refrigerator for 6 hours.
  8. Unmold and serve.
