Solal unites Christmas brigades
At the Institute, Lionel is disgusted that he is no longer the leader of the Christmas Brigade. He credits Zoe with being in charge of the situation, even if Solal points out to her that she also lacked professionalism. At the same time, Zoe arrives to tell her brother that she won’t be coming to the family dinner planned for New Year’s Eve. He’s going to hang out with Gary. Confronted with his sister, Lionel acts proud and avoids it as if he doesn’t care. In fact, he’s sad that he won’t be able to have a family reunion on his first Christmas without his father.
Later, Solal meets Maya at the commissary and informs her about the very tense situation between the Lanes as the new year approaches. He asks his friend to support him in his plan to make things right. Thus, Solal and Maya unite the two enemy brigades in the kitchen to propose that they form a united brigade and prove to Teyssier and Clotilde that they can overcome themselves to achieve their goals. Solal offers to get the best ideas from each team. Everyone is ready, including Zoe and Lionel.
Meanwhile, Teissier and Clotilde are in the studio trying to create a Christmas menu together. Suffice it to say, it’s a futile effort because they have diametrically opposed visions! At the same time, Lionel, Zoe and Solal come to see them to inform them of their decision: they are going to organize the Institute’s Christmas outside with a buffet featuring all the essentials of this holiday in the form of bites. Teissier and Clotilde give them the green light after confirming the plates. Amy and Lionel are now co-leaders of this joint brigade.
In the kitchen, Zoe asks Solal for advice on cooking. He takes the opportunity to thank her for saving the Christmas Brigade. This allowed him to reconcile with his brother. Finally, she will spend the New Year with him, but also with Gary. Zoe tells Solal that she is going to give him the dream book and wonders what her boyfriend will offer her in return.
Then Solal isolates himself a little with the commissar. Gary follows her to thank her for making up with Zoe. Solal then wants to know if Gary has planned a present for her for Christmas. The latter admits that he had no time and idea on this topic. With the surprise already planned, Solal suggests that Gary believe that the surprise is coming from him.
In the evening, Lionel, Zoe, Ines and Gary meet at Double A. After being invited, Solal joins them. While everyone is preparing for the toast, Stefan Llano arrives at the restaurant. It is to Solal’s surprise that Gary is considered his property. A delighted Zoe thanks her boyfriend with a kiss. If he and his sister are very happy to see their father again, Lionel is more reserved…
Malik investigates Quentin’s love life
In the workshop, Malik, Leonard and Quentin prepare a New Year’s meal together, which the three of them will spend with Maya. Malik admits that he enjoys doing a good deed by spending Christmas with orphans who have not had an easy life. Accomplices Quentin and Leonard manage to do this by inventing terrible living conditions in orphanages.
In the evening, Malik and Leonard set a table in the lobby of the boarding house. Leonard then discovers through messages that Malik has created a profile on a gay dating app. Malik explains that he’s trying to find out if Quentin is gay because he’s sure he likes Leonard. The latter replies that it is not right to investigate people’s sex life and deletes his profile.
After which Quentin joins them and they sit down at the table. Maya texts them to let them know she’ll meet for dessert. Malik takes the opportunity to question Quentin about his romantic adventures while he was in Japan. Leonardo puts his foot down and reveals Malik’s real questions. To which Quentin replies that he’s not gay.
Colain meets Gaspard’s brother
At the entrance of the institute, Alice notices that Gaspard is very nervous. He explains that his little brother hasn’t gotten off the bus and isn’t answering his phone. When Alice tries to calm him down, Gaspard yells at her. He immediately apologizes and explains that he is very worried about his brother.
Meanwhile, Coline meets Malo, Gaspard’s little brother, on the city street. She notices that he is lost and offers to help him find his way. When she learns that he wants to go to the institute, she decides to take him there.
At the scene, Coline and Malo discuss the trees in the park before being interrupted by Gaspar. The latter is deeply relieved to have found his brother. She blames Coleen for not calling her to warn her. The young girl replies that she does not have a phone number, and then leaves the two brothers together. Malo emphasizes Gaspar’s madness, believing that he could thank Colin. Gaspard states that they are just used to talking to each other in this tone.
