According to psychologist Letícia de Oliveira, every time a person goes through a traumatic experience, a lot of energy is spent and the individual is in a state of alert. After this stressful situation, the body can become exhausted.

“The human being, with a high frequency [de ansiedade]he really breaks down, which is PTSD. Which is nothing more than an anxiety crisis in which the person exhausts all his energy, adrenaline and then becomes hypervigilant, very afraid that something wrong will happen”, evaluate.

Viih spoke about all the fear she felt about the situation involving her son’s health. For this reason, the influencer confessed that he still feels rather hypervigilant, as he is very afraid that everything will happen again and that something worse will happen to the child. So much so that she has been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress and is undergoing psychological treatment.

The expert explains: “We almost wait for more bad things to happen. It’s an alarm from our brain, preparing us for future frustrations. It’s common, it’s very common for people who have experienced trauma to develop PTSD. ”

WHAT TO DO?

The psychologist explains that it is normal for people who have experienced a major stressful event to develop the disorder, but stresses that it is important to recognize the symptoms and seek help to deal with this problem.

“It is important to recognize these symptoms, validate this period because it is almost a period of post-operative rest, but if, after a period of time, this continues, it is interesting, and also very useful, to consult both the psychiatric department and psychological assistance” , it ends.
