The 60th animated classic from Disney Studios, Encanto, the fantastic madrigal family is a little wonder. Good news: you can (re)discover this visual and audio magic this Thursday night at W9!

Released in cinemas in 2021, Encanto, a fantastic madrigal family (which surpassed Frozen to break the 26-year-old record) takes viewers to a mysterious place nestled in the heart of the Columbia Mountains, where a family lives in an enchanted house in a bustling town. This place, Encanto, has gifted each child of the family with magical abilities ranging from superhuman powers to healing powers.

Only Mirabel did not receive any special donation. But when Encanto’s magic is threatened, the only ordinary child in this extraordinary family may be their only hope…

Encanto marks the reunion of directors Byron Howard, Jared Bush and Charis Castro Smith with actor/singer/composer Lin-Manuel Miranda, who notably wrote the songs for Moana and Mufasa: The Lion King (in theaters December 18).

“We thought it would be great to team up with him and build a team around this project.”declares Byron Howard. “And because we could all relate to these big, big, multi-headed families, we thought of a Disney musical that would really talk about the complexities of family.”
