This feature film is one of those musical comedies that do good and lift your spirits in any situation, especially in winter and make you sing along.

Everyone raved about this movie, which is available on Netflix. But beware, if you want to organize a karaoke session in front of this musical, you only have a few days left before the catalog of the platform leaves.

Impressive live performances

The film adaptation of the hit musical of the same name, Mamma Mia! Born in 2007 under the leadership of the trio behind the show, namely writer Kathryn Johnson, director Phyllida Lloyd and producer Judy Kramer.

For this film, it was necessary to call on actors with the ability to sing live, as this was the wish of ABBA member Benny Anderson. The team managed to assemble an exceptional cast, including Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgård, Amanda Seyfried, Christine Baranski and Julie Walters.

In order to get the best out of the actors, Phyllida Lloyd resorted to different options: pre-recording the voices so that they could play their own voices during filming, or letting them sing while filming the scenes.

All the actors took part in the exercise with as much trepidation as they enjoyed it, and managed to convey the overwhelming energy felt in the film. Add to that a heavenly setting, summer heat, and breathtaking love stories, and you have a delightful musical.

We invite you not to sing and dance to Mamma Mia!, which covers ABBA’s greatest hits and is one of the best musicals of the 2000s, even released in cinemas.

So if you’re an ABBA fan and want to sing along to the film’s songs, act fast. You only have ten days left to meet Mamma Mia! and its sequel Mamma Mia! Here we go again on Netflix. Two musicals leave the platform’s catalog on January 6.
