Frank Charcot (45) is a gruff and lonely policeman. The daughter cannot mourn, she has visions of him: Eugene interferes everywhere. Especially in his new investigation, in which children mysteriously disappear, and an old film from the 60s causes strange and dangerous behavior in those who watch it.
Lucy Henebel is 35 years old. She is also a police officer, a single mother. When she realizes that her past may be connected to Charcot’s investigation, she joins his team. So the meeting between the two cops promises to be electrifying… but this investigation, above all else, will take them from Morocco to Canada to shed light on troubled science experiments.
Thriller lovers and avid readers are familiar with the name of Frank Charcot. An iconic figure in the novels of Frank Tillis, this hero first appears in the series through E Syndrome, an adaptation of the 2010 bestseller of the same name.
After the triumph of La Promesse, with Olivier Marshall and Sofia Esaide, which gathered an average of no less than 7 million viewers, Lord de Butler continues and signs a new thriller that will undoubtedly captivate the public.
And there’s a reason, because the series, like the novel, focuses on the mysterious concept of “Syndrome E” theorized by Professor Yitzhak Fried. This syndrome corresponded to the change that occurs in ordinary and non-violent people who become real executioners, even murderers, within the group.
Praised by the press during a preview of its first two episodes, the series at the Mania festival in Lille last March, the series will soon be broadcast on TF1.
But good news for the most impatient of you, there’s no point in waiting to discover it. Starting this Friday, July 22nd, Episode 6 of Syndrome E is available on Salto! A chance to devour this exciting story now and in one go, brought to life by an impressive cast.
Featuring the talents of Vincent Elbaz, who glides perfectly under Charcot’s suit, the mini-series also focuses on Jennifer Dekker, the Comedie-Française’s resident charmer as Lucy Hannebel.
And that’s not all, because we also find Coul Chen (Engrenages) and Berenger Crieff (Bref.) as the hero’s co-policemen, Anna Chariet (Maison nigh), Michel Bernier (La Stagiaire), Marius Colucci (Les Petits Murders by). Agatha Christie) and Sammy Segir (Neil’s mother!). Not forgetting Richard Boehringer and Emmanuel Beart, that’s all! Everything is now found on Salto.
