‘It’s not like other films’: James Cameron hails French success at Cannes Film Festival

James Cameron is one of the fans of Jacques Audiard’s film Emilia Perez. The musical, which was released in France last August, won two prizes at the Cannes Film Festival – the Jury Prize and the Best Actress Prize for the four main actors, Zoe Saldana, Selena Gomez, Adriana Paz and Carla Sofia Gascon.

The film is shining in Hollywood and has received ten nominations at the Golden Globes – the awards ceremony that gives a foretaste of the Oscars. In France, Jacques Audiard’s feature film has surpassed one million in theaters and has already established itself as a serious contender for the César.
